Dying To Live- A Review of Kim Paffenroth's Zombie Novel

Dying to Live, a novel of life among the undead, has all of the standard zombie fair. It has plenty of gruesome and gory details and the struggle to survive and find a place for the living in this dead world. The action stays at a high level as our main character Jonah moves through this world to discover there are other survivors. This is a very tight story and the characters are all well developed. The editing is good and it is a very enjoyable story, but wait, there is more! Everything here would make a great read, but the author also adds another layer to this story. A discussion among the characters of why all of this has and could of happened, not surprising given the authors background. It really adds depth in a book that is more than just violence, blood and guts. Does man have a place in this world? Is there more to the zombie's than just hollow shells trying to devourer the living? I highly reccommend this book to anyone looking for a good read.
